ok. i will now explain everything you need to patch with the proxies.

first off, go to your settings shit and find the place where you enter a HTTP proxy adress and port

consult the list at the bottom AT RANDOM and enter that adress and port into the fields that the browser asks. i cannot stress this enough. RANDOMLY FROM THE LIST does not mean TRY THEM IN ORDER. it means CLOSE YOUR EYES AND POKE THE SCREEN. i don't care how you randomize it as long as you do. the proxy list i provide contain proxies that seem like regular South Korean home IPs. this means Grav*ty cannot block them. they are unloggable and completely undetectable. however, if the same patch is downloaded by 5 people at the same time from the same IP, Grav*ty will get suspicious and shut down that proxy. this is why i say RANDOMLY! so that we don't get DUPLICATES! now that we have that clear, highlight the stuff right below the line
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Format: ip : port

211.118.236.195:40050
211.118.187.131:40050
211.118.146.130:40050

211.46.196.124:80
147.46.240.165:3124
147.46.240.165:3128

please note: this is a security measure so that people won't see this as a mere proxy list and read the warning

Is this proxy list still useful, or has Grav*ty gotten suspicous of these links yet?

Is this to avoid the patch_allow.txt changing to deny? just curious because you can rewrite the txt to be allow and then make it read only, and the patcher cant change it...

that's smart, I'll try it!

NukeFall - February 15, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
I did that once and it worked, im just not sure it works for every situation.

Definitely works right now. Crashed once because the Patch Client changed looks, but that's reasonable. Looks like Sak_0117 isn't outdated yet.
