Ok if you have an item and even after its identified it still ahs everything in jibberish The simplist solution is this:
1. Goto your data folder located in the ro directory
2. scroll down and look for a ragtxtpr.exe
3. Double click it and in the box thing that appears select En/Decode
4. In the open box put in idnum2itemdesctable.txt and just open
5. In the save box put in idnum2itemdesctable.txt and save
6. That should fix the descriptions
Not sure if your supposed to do that for num2itemdesctable.txt too.

The patch is kind of badly put together. For me, at least, it was just random fiddling around with it that actually got my stuff unencrypted, and even now unidentified items are still gibberish.
But, yes, if possible post what you did to get everything to work. In my case it was just overwriting the tables a few times alternating between encrypted and decrypted, and eventually they worked.

Gord. If you dont use sak4 this is the only time youll need to use this ever. Also your not supposed to be able to read UNIDENTIFIED items. There meant to be gibberish thats why we have magnification glasses.

Are you talking about here, or in general?
If it's a custom, um, 'feature' here, okay, if you're saying it's supposed to be that way naturally I'm afraid I'll have to disagree as they're perfectly legible on all official servers and every other private server.
It does list the item weight though, which is a fairly simple way of determining what exactly you've got in most cases, hence the gibberish really isn't all that bad.
NukeFall - March 28, 2005 03:24 PM (GMT)
Im talking about generally. Sak4 reads the item tables in that odd gibberish language and translates it into english. The only time that youll use this guide is
a. Your not using Sak4 with Dro4
b. You have another server that used another itemdesc and another client that has it set to only read it up english

NukeFall - April 22, 2005 09:31 PM (GMT)
Then look for the file. If you dont have it that means that your using a bad data folder. The file comes with dro4 -_-
