Title: I made a booboo.
Description: Uh oh.
Gaara - October 29, 2006 09:33 AM (GMT)
I couldn't connect this morning, so I tried to move some stuff, now it says "binkw32.dll" was not found. Do I have to do a full re-install? 'Cause if I do I think I'm waving farewell to RO, I hate spending 3 days patching.
XShadow - October 29, 2006 12:50 PM (GMT)
well it means that Sak.XI or whatever you are using is not in the RO folder. so just put it back and get online :P
Jaylor - October 29, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Put everything back in one folder :P
If you ever move stuff around, make sure that the folder stays intact. Also, if you move the whole folder and you have a shortcut on your desktop, make sure you change the properties so that it points to the new location
mrgogogas - October 29, 2006 07:41 PM (GMT)
The server was really laggy; I couldn't connect either. When that happens, you usually shout and hope it stops lagging.
It's still pretty laggy, though.
Trunks - October 29, 2006 08:11 PM (GMT)
Did you move where your RO folder is located? If so your short cut might be looking in the C:// but your RO folder is actually on your D://
Try opening RO from your RO folder and see if that works.
Gaara - October 30, 2006 01:07 PM (GMT)
Ok. Thanks guys I'll sort it out later. Unfortunately during the time of the boobo, I re-registered my WoW account so RO is pretty much over for a month. (I get bored of WoW easily.) Don't threat I'll still be online just not very much. Jer you're in command, just don't move or sell ANY of my items, kthxbai.
PS - where is my coat of stone curse? O.o
Gaara - October 31, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
Booboo won't go away sadly. It's not just sak XI either, it's all the exe's I've accumulated since May.. all of which sya the same thing. I tried putting a new sak XI from the zip file in and it still says binkw blah blah, any suggestions?
Trunks - October 31, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
I'll try and think of some stuff that might fix it while your WoWing it up. Tell me if you run into the SouthPark characters while your on. XD

Does anyone fancy making me a technophobes guide to getting rid of this binkw32.dll jazz, it's pissing me off. I pretended I knew what I was doing, the sad truth is, I don't :). Help appreciated. ^_^
Trunks - November 1, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
... are you actually missing that dll? I think Jay can send it to you seeing as how he as done it for several people before....
ImmunityBow - November 1, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that problem pops up on occasion.

How to Repair a missing Binkw32.dll Error:Q: What is Binkw32.dlland what does it do?The Binkw32.dll file is a rendering driver for the game, most games using 3D rendering will have a version of the file.
Q: Why did I get this problem?:This error occurs because the you may have your computer set up to not show system files. Binkw32.dll is a hidden system file. This means that if you it is quite possible you did not select it when moving your files, therefore leaving it in the original folder.
To fix this problem:1: Download the
BINKW32.DLL (124Kb)2: Open the zip file.
3: Drag and drop the binkw32.dll file from the zip file into your Gra*ity/RO folder.
The Problem should now be fixed. Any problems, please post again and i will work out another way to fix the error.
Note: Apologies to Gaara for the wait on help with this.
Jimmy - November 2, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
As further help in repairing your RO folder, here is a screenshot of all files which must be located in the directory. This includes all hidden and system files.

Also...
How do i view all hidden and system files:1: Double click "My Computer"
2: Click the "Tools" Menu and Select "Folder Options"
3: In the Folder Options Window, Click on the "View" Tab.
4: Scroll to the section Entitled "Hidden Files and Folders"
5: Tick the Box on "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
There may also be an option (depending on what operating system you are using) which says "Hide System Files". It may help to turn this option off.
Gaara - November 2, 2006 07:52 AM (GMT)
Ok.. thanks Jim, binkw32.dll problem solved. Now it says ijl13.dll missing :(
I didn't even move much, I just moved the data folder & deleted some old .exe files
Jimmy - November 2, 2006 08:46 AM (GMT)
Are you sure its ijl13.dll not ijl15.dll? Reason being that i cannot locate or find any file called ijl13.dll but have found ijl15.dll in the RO Folder.
If it
IS Ijl15.dll you are after, Then:
1: Download
IJL15.DLL (376KB)2: Open the Zip File.
3: Drag and drop ijl15.dll into your Gra*ity/RO Folder.
Problem Solved.
Gaara - November 2, 2006 08:59 AM (GMT)
Well, I won't know if that fixes it until I get home from work, but regardless of whether it does or doesn't, I BLOODY LOVE YOU JIMBO! :D
Jimmy - November 2, 2006 09:16 AM (GMT)
Hehe... Dont thank me until we know its workin! :D *crosses fingers*
Gaara - November 2, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)
I just got home from work, but the link is dead. Can anybody search their RO file for ijl15.dll and host it for like 2 seconds for me? or even email me it or send over msn? thanks
Jimmy - November 2, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
Apologies Gaara, Here is the new Link to it. I forgot that Dll-Files.com routinely changes their links.
IJL15.DLL (138 KB)
ImmunityBow - November 3, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
Jimmy, you should make a topic with all your wonderful dlls =D
Jimmy - November 3, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
lol. Well, maybe i should just make a Common errors guide. Hmm.... Might actually do that. If people give me some errors to write about, ill make up a guide. :D
ImmunityBow - November 3, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
Oh! How about the Lighthalzen Airport error!
Basically all you have to do is find the map it needs, get something with the same extension (.gat I think). Copy, paste, rename. Then you can just B-Wing out or wait for a GM!
Gaara - November 3, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)

Gaara - November 3, 2006 05:30 PM (GMT)

Gaara - November 4, 2006 12:04 PM (GMT)
Thanks Jim, the application will start now, but still having problems! I can make it up to the char select screen if I use the dRO updater to connect, then it says "Failed to connect server" then it rejects me constantly. Wtf is going on? I don't think dRO wants me to play it anymore.
Jimmy - November 4, 2006 12:33 PM (GMT)
have you tried running the game without using the patcher?
If you havent, give that a shot... try using sak ex2.exe or sak xi.exe to run the game. If it refuses to connect, you may need to get a new sclientinfo.
The latest sclientinfo file is within this zip file:
PATCHER UPDATE (1 Kb)If that fails to fix the problem, the last thing i can think of is that you may have to reinstall the game. Dont worry, patching isnt that horrible if you use the sakup.exe or the patchup.exe programs.... they work all the time for me. Only takes about an hour to patch that way. Links are below.
Sakray Patchers:Before using any of these patchers, please check to see whether you can patch using sakray.exe. If you are unable to patch using sakray.exe, try using the following patchers to update your sakray. NOTE: These Patchers are mainly 3rd party applications and have a chance of not patching successfully.
-
SAKUP.EXE (71Kb): This is a utility to help update your sakray which is to be used only if the sakray.exe patching process fails. Simply extract sakup.exe into your Gra*ity/RO Folder and run the program.
-
PATCHUP.EXE (71 Kb): Patchup.exe is a 3rd party Sakray patcher. This program may or may not work to patch your sakray. Use only if you had problems patching using the sakray.exe patcher or sakup.exe patcher. Simply extract patchup.exe into your Gra*ity/RO Folder and run the program.
Sorry i cant be of further assistance.
Gaara - November 4, 2006 01:59 PM (GMT)
You've been more than helpful Jim! Thanks a lot man. I can't connect, I really don't know what's wrong. It just says "dragonRO (0)" then fails to connect
