Name: Morlock
Age: 19
Looks: About 6 feet tall, white skin with a mild tan and black eyes. A sky-blue cloak surrounds him, stretching down to his feet. It has intricate markings on the front corners, with some sort of strange looking spirals that lead to slight indentations of the cloak in the bottom. The top is rimmed with a brown plate surrounding his neck and shoulders. Underneath the cloak he is wearing dark brown jeans and a t-shirt, hands fitted with leather gloves. A curious looking staff, lined with encircling wings, is attatched to the side of his belt. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice his oddly colored lavender hair, ruffled in a way which looks like he just got out of bed, and if you look closely at his left arm, you'll notice that it is several shades darker than his normal skin color....
Animal Partner (Optinal):nupe
Is he/she completly human? or does he/she have some animal parts/behaviour:
His left arm appears to be fabricated out of something other than skin
Weapon: (Can be magic): Morlock specializes in quad-elemental magic casting which begins as an intense moment of mindcrafting, and calling upon the life spirits within himself for a boost in fabrication. Elemental magic can alse be boosted by the very elements that surround him in the environment he is currently within. On a VERY rare occasion, something terrifying happens in which Morlock loses control over his left arm, and it quickly takes over the rest of his body. This awakens the evil spirit residing in his arm, inducing him with enhanced magical power, leaving this awakened entity free to use Morlock's body as it wishes, causing havoc and mayhem. This usually ends with the city populace tossing Morlock into a dungeon with magically sealed walls, or Morlock awakening in a dazed stupor on top of a pile rubble, feebly walking away wondering what the hell happened.
Quick or long resume of your character's past:(WARNING... LOOONG) Morlock was an orphan, found abandoned in the ruins of an ancient city, below the bustling populace of a a town who hadn't time to explore it due to their busy schedules of wand crafting or spell-making. The adventuring party that found him consisted of three female apprentice magicians of the town above. They opened the forbidden door in the main tower, descending in hopes of collecting magical gems for their training, when they came across a bundled child, nestled in an immense patch of the gems they were looking for. He was found next to a staff with wings, within it's surface carved the letters M-o-r-l-o-c-k, and was thus named. This news had the town in shock, because no one had opened that door for over a hundred years because of the dangers of demons in the ruins below. The town speculated that he may be a demon, and were ready to destroy the poor, defensless baby in fear, when the town's wise leader (who so happened to be a dog o_o ) declared the boy not to be touched.
As Morlock grew, the dog watched over Morlock, and taught him in the ancient ways of magic. Morlock learned never to use magic for evil, because the magic spirits within him may turn to darkness, consuming Morlock's soul. (and because the town agreed only to keep Morlock so long as the first evil he did, he would be banished.)
Morlock learned at an alarmingly abnormal rate for any apprentice magician, and by the time he turned 16, he was one test away from being a full fledged wizard. The day before the last test he was fitted for his wizard's cloak (ironically, the closest shade to his hair available was sky-blue due to a backorder on dyes, so it stuck with him).
The next day Morlock aced his wizard test with flying colors, and decided to show off to all of his instructors there on the spot with something he was inventing in his spare time. He raised his left arm into a clutched upward fist, slowly opening it to reveal a floating, dark orb emerging from his hand. He focused all of his concentration onto two elements, creating a watery ball of shock, then quickly shifted
his ball into a fiery clod of rocks. The instructors' eyes popped wide ,"WAIT!! STOP!!!"
Morlock then attempted something... which he neglected to hear ever since his birth about the city in ruin beneath him... a magical accident from long ago.... He attempted to fuse all four elements into one, which no mortal would dare do, except for ignorant Morlock. In his hand floated a ball with all four elements imbued floating stable. "Impressed now, aren't yo---------?" The ball suddenly Glowed a fiery purple, and plunged into his arm. He stood paralyzed, unable to react to what happened, then blacked out. When he awoke, he was in the tower dungeon, with about 20 or so wizards standing around him. "Ah awake now eh traitor?" Morlock blinked several times, and found that he couldnt move. "you did some nasty damage, and even killed your own mentor.... what a shame, you were such a fast learner, and now you've thrown it all away.." Several mumblings errupted from the crowd, all speaking with each other. "The code doesn't allow us to physically punish you in any way, our only option is to banish you.... forever. Goodbye Morlock the Mad..."
And with that, Morlock was instantly teleported off to a distant land.
(thank god thats over)
Strengths:
- The current surroundings will work to his advantage in some cases (terraformation)
-Gained ambidexterity from the cursed arm of his, so he can cast 2 spells or 2 elements at once.
-can absorb elemental attacks with left arm
Weaknesses:
-Sucks if the enemy is magic resistant
-not too good at melee fighting. may be able to dodge or block in a rare case, but in most cases he's kinda screwed.
-The current surroundings will work to his disadvantage in some cases too (not enough water in the air to cast a strong water spell in a desert, not enough heat in a blizzard to make a strong fire spell x_x)
-Afraid of the dark
-Inner demons
-No friends/allies
-Sometimes 'loses concentraion'/'becomes absent-minded' midcast
-Easily stunned
