Description:
The Legion of Ash and Thorn, more commonly known as the Order of Chaos, is an ancient brotherhood of unknown origin. It has existed since the early days of the world and continues to survive until this very day. The founder of the Legion is unknown, but it is known that the founder is still alive and is only ever seen by the highest ranks of the Legion.
Since the Legion has been around for so long, they have had the honour of creating much havoc for the world and its leaders. The Legion has been essential in the starting of many major wars as well as the beginning of the Apocalyptic War of 1387, which left the City of Midbarchai in ruin. The Legion works ceaselessly to find new power and bring it into its folds so that it can achieve the objective set by an ancient magic.
When a magical being decides to join the ranks of the Legion, they undergo several processes. The first is called Corruption, which involves the shifting of the beings alignment into the Evil category. Any good, neutral, or evil being can join the Legion and this step becomes essential in halting the possibility of infiltration. The second step is sealing their corruption with the murder of an innocent person. The third step is being mentored by a higher ranking member. After 6 months of being mentored, the being receives the lowest rank of "Demonus Umbrum" (Demon Shadow).

To rid the world of good through Armageddon.

Marks of the Legion:
Every member of the Legion has an insignia located in their left retna. The ingisnia is described as follows: "A stylized L with a flaming wreath superimposed upon a yin-yang symbol. The Yin was crimson red and the yang was an all-absorbing black."
When the Legion recalls members of its ranks, there is a remnant of black ash left on the ground. The ash is very thick and is accentuated by small bramble shards.
Legion Abilities:
Recall: The Legion can recall any member of its ranks to their central location. The recall looks like several thick pillars of fire surrounding a bramble cage. This leaves traces of ash on the floor.
Insignia: Through the insignia, the highest ranking members of the Legion can track and locate any member. The Insignia gives the Legion Masters the ability to look into the member's thoughts, control their body and being, or even kill them on the spot.
Pseudo-Insignia: The Legion is able to use their insignia as a weapon against their enemies. The insignia is placed within the enemy's right retna, opposite to the true insignia, but still gives all abilities of the real insignia. This can be used for espionage.
Corruption: The full shifting of a being to evil. A being cannot be shifted back to good after their corruption is sealed by innocent blood. The magic of Corruption stains the soul with evil.
Apotheosis: A form of ascension through the Legion's ranks. This is achieved by individuals in the Legion by doing one of two things: defeating good or spreading evil. The Apotheosis of a member of the Legion is marked by the ferocity and color of the flame wreath. Higher ranks have a more intense and darker flame.
Nota Bene: They were... responsible for the destruction of Tyrell's second home.
