Title: Uploaded data folder at ~7MB!

mrgogogas - November 1, 2007 01:52 PM (GMT)
Well guys, I think I finally got a reason for you all to convert to 7zip:

I converted my whole data folder into .7z and am uploading it here.

It's 5% of the original size. Yes, 5%. It's about 7 MB big.

7zip can be downloaded here:

http://www.7-zip.org/

Sure, it may not have the GUI of winRAR, but it has all the functions, and I'm sure you can figure it out! GIVE IT A TRY!

PROTIP: I only uploaded this for ben, so that he can start playing again. :3

The data folder is at:

http://rapidshare.com/files/66713939/data.7z

ENJOY!

Will do later, but my upload bandwidth is being taken up right now.

I still beat youse by 3MB. xD

EDIT: Eh, it's at about 972MB. That good enough? -__-

I remember downloading VBA roms zipped in .7z, and it took me two days to get it working >>. Too many random options and error signs that are actually benign and such.

That's because VBA sucks? 7zip is working amazing for me right now. Go clean out your computer before you say that an app is unreliable, kthx.

Eh, but 7zip runs superfast on my computer. I guess .grf files are a bitch to compress, then.

You need more megahertz!
Actually, I wouldn't know.
I don't wait 10 hours to compress some files...But I've seen some of the results of KGB.
Godlike.

I could probably compress and upload it, but... it's too much of a hassle. If you think about it, most of the new people who join here usually have trouble with an all-in-one installer .exe, so I really doubt that it'll work out if we tell them to download a third-party archiver just to extract a couple of files.
