Title: We want a retrainer!

Joaquin - December 2, 2007 03:35 AM (GMT)
I wanna see how many want an NPC back where when you reach a certain level, you can return to your novice(not novice high) state and keep your stats and skills from the previous training you had. This is good for completely maxing out stats and skills and it's way more fun and it motivates people to level alot more knowing they might be able to kill all the harder monsters at some point. There should be no limit to how much you are able to retrain. Or should there?

You should also be able to retain stats/skills when turning into a high class.

Two retrains is good. :(

Gohan - December 2, 2007 04:14 AM (GMT)
I think we have discussed this before and I don't like the idea of a re trainer. It just makes everyone have the stats and it makes the game less fun. If all the snipers in the game have 99 all stats, none of them will be any different. Same for all classes, re trainer eliminates the use of builds.

ImmunityBow - December 2, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Retrain to max stats eliminates builds, but one retrain might be okay. Also, 4 max stats tends to be good for everyone, whereas max stats is not because people like Wizzies are getting (relatively) useless stats like Luck while SinXs need all their stats.

Kanoga - December 2, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
Ok, I guess ONE would be better...

ShadO - December 2, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
Retrains eliminate builds. teh end. the extra 600x stat points at high 2nd job is enough!

Gohan - December 3, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
There is a built in retrain already when you go high second class to get an additional stat to 99. That like ShadO said is enough.

My say on this is:
Why the hell don't you check up my Guide Joa? cuz here we have multiple choices for the poll. So we can just vote for all.

I made a guide for a reason!! D:

ImmunityBow - December 3, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
Oh. I wasn't aware that the extra points thing had been implemented. Nevermind.

Why is cake never an option in these polls.

Good man, abusing the election system whenever possible.

Thats exactly my point. I just voted for all of them too.

Because I can, and it's free.

Don't still play or anything, but I thought I'd make a suggestion. How about making a retrainer for classes that cannot transcend, where you can only retrain once, and you only get 500ish statpoints out of it. Seems to give more of a point to playing the ninja/gunslinger/taekwon/soullinker/stargladiator/hamburglar classes as a main character again rather than some side pet project.

The old argument against this was "But I dun liek themz"

Instead of coming up with a reasonable counterargument, I'll just say this:
"Bullshitigans"

I would like a second class job retrainer (like the time traveler, but only for non-rebirth classes)
Or one that, at job 50, resets skills, removes 20 skill points, and then sets you back to job 30
This is just my opinion though and it is often easily forgotten, discarded, ignored, or broken
