Seriously though. My Auto-patcher is killing itself on a 9/17 update. It's downloaded but when I run the client it's all "ERRORS I HATE YOU"
To be exact:
Unknown Error: 2008-09-17.rar
Fatal Error: 2008-09-17.rar
Client Crashes.
FIX PLX!

Did you Download the Full Installer.
Install the files,
Not launch dRO,
Update/patch Sakray,
Then Run dRO auto patcher?

Sakray should be updated before you do the dRO patcher /ok
What system are you using, XP or Vista?
that patch has a new exe and some data folder updates. Are you running it while dRO is open?

Oh! Dan, are you running this on VISTA?! You have to install it somewhere that doesn't need user permission to edit. Unless you have all that crap turned off. So the easiest way to get around it is to save the game in Documents instead of Program files. Try that.

Yes I downloaded the full version. Why was the FULL version not fully patched and ready to play? Seems like a cruel thing to do. "Download this 'Lite' Patcher and have to patch everything, OR download the 'FULL' version....and have to patch everything."
Makes no sense at all.
Also, I didn't have any problems patching up to this point. So what did you change when you added the patch. I was able to patch and log in earlier this week just fine.
This makes me sad. :'(

One of the download files is not a lite install, one of them is a download for those people who already have sak on their hard drive, and the other is for those who do not have the program. If you already had an updated version of SAK then you should have followed the on screen instructions to just download the dRO files. And the reason the FULL Install is not always updated is because it would be crazy to ask Jaylor to replace the Sak file download each time Gravity does an update. Just make sure you have sak patched first then patch dRO and it should work. If you are having problems try reinstalling.

Make sure nothing else RO-related is running when you run the dRO patcher.
The only reason I can think of why it wouldn't work is because it replaces the droexe.exe file, and if you're accessing it then it can't delete the old one and it would give you that error.
Other than that, it should work fine. If not, Reinstall, make sure to patch sakray first, then do the dRO patch.
