All I can recommend that isn't part of "smash bros zelda or mario" (because I haven't played many other wii games)
is Wario Ware, which is very fun when your thought process is mostly inhibited.

If you don't want the new Legend of Zelda game or Smash Bros don't waste your money on a Wii. Besides the core games there are only a handful of decent games, everything else is trash.
I wish I never bought a Wii.

you could try harvest moon x) Loll but well, if there is one game you should take a look in, it would be Metroid Prime 3, if you like exploring and shooting then here you go, buy this game! i never was a big fan of metroid but this is certainly my favourite game on wii.
WiiPlay is good too lol :P + it come in bundle with another wiimote, for the price of 40 - 50$
and if you are a fan of final fantasy, try chocobo's dungeon. i didnt liked the one on PSone but this one on wii is great.
you can also rent game to try before buying :P

Oh and, good job leaving out the best games on the Wii.
I'm glad I don't have a bias so I can enjoy all games from all the consoles. =D

Its nothing to do with bias. I have played the new smash bros and I hated it. I have played the newer mario and I hated it. I have tried almost every zelda and guess what, hated them. So, this is nothing to do with bias, this is a dislike gained through actual experience of the games.
The only mario game I can truely say ive enjoyed, and its not even technicaly a mario game, was Luigi's Mansion on the Cube.

Last year I could easily say there was only 12 good games. This year I can safely say there is about to be 15 good games in total. Sorry, but after a month your Wii will just become a dust collector. It's how it goes in the gaming industry :(
Get a PS3 or 360... Better yet, upgrade your PC and torrent mad games :D

I don't have this probleme, the only console I am missing is PS3.
On Wii, If you hated super smash, its cause you also hated the one on gamecube, it is the exact same way you play exept the speed has changed (you get used to it in no time), you have more character, diferent map, and durability of the game is higher + you can't abuse of stupid move xD in which you could in Super Smash Melee.

I already have a PS3 and a pretty sweet PC. I just want a Wii now.
I dont know if it will end up gathering dust though, just the fact that lots of resi games are being released on it means I will be on it for hours. And when monster hunter comes out I will never sleep eat or drink again until I have killed/hunted everything. And not only that, I think ive clocked at least 2 days of play on Wii bowling alone at freinds houses. lol.
At the moment it is my PC and PS3 that are sitting there gathering dust, the only game ive enjoyed on my PC in an age is Dawn of War 2, although I did recently get Company of Heroes (it was cheap) and im enjoying that a little. As for my PS3, until demon souls is released in europe it is probably gonna remain dormant, except for a bit of online CoD4 obviously.
I think really, the main reason I want a Wii is because ive played PC games since I can remember and the steady decline in quality PC games dos'nt do much to help. That and I work for sony so im on a PS3 or PSP nearly all of the time (at least 44 hours a week) in work. I just need something different.

Good Donkey Kong games are over. Donkey Kong was good cause of the mix with Nintendo and Rare.
Rare should go back with Nintendo and bring us a new Donkey Kong, a good Perfect Dark! a new Diddy Kong Racing!? A real Banjo Kazooie?

Seriously a GOOD perfect dark game would never have a chance to be GOOD on the Wii. The consoles controls would suck for it, the consoles graphics are last gen, and it appears Nintendo is still in their "We are for kids" mentality with a tad bit of "We entertain adults by getting them into shape or teaching them something".
Nintendo needs to wake up and get with the program. All of it's hardcore fans have grown up and want more grown up games. I'm not saying blood and gore all the way, just something with a little more quality than the crap they have been shitting out for the last 2 years.
If someone seriously offered me cash for my Wii right now I'd have a hard time thinking of a reason not to sell mine. If Nintendo does something stupid to Link by making him "chibi" again in the next Legend Of Zelda installment, I am going to blow my Wii up with some fireworks.

but why would the command be shitty on wii for perfect dark? its easy to make a fps on wii loll, its the easiest way to control where you want to shoot when you get used to it and for your information, ps3 and xbox have TON And I say, TONS AND TONS AND TTTTTONNNS of shit game, 3/4 of them are bad. You dont even have any fun with them. i still can get fun playing kiddie game on Wii! this is like Lego! it was made for kid but everytime I start playing with that, i have A LOT of fun, ill never get bored of these!

The Wii sensor bar does not translate to good FPS. And neither does the motion controls of the wii-mote and the nunchuck. The whole control scheme is fail.
True 3/4 of the games on the PS3 and X360 suck, but we're talking a LOT more good games than the Wii. It's like having 75 of 100 games suck. That is still 25 being good.
The Wii is like 95% suck. That is 5 good games out of 100 that are released. And those 5 aren't even that great.

I'll hand it to you Metroid looks nice. But that mario game belongs on the damn DS. $50 for that would not be worth it. It better be Wii Ware.
I am kind of stoked for Kingdom Hearts on the Wii though. Should be interesting. Oh and there will supposedly be a new Legend of Zelda next year.

Lets wait to see about the Mario game, it look pretty awesome + its boring to play multiplayer on a DS, its much nicer to play with your friend on a big screen and since I was little ive been playing mario bros on a TV. But yea, we should wait and see if it worth a 50$, they should allow us to unlock super mario bros 1, 2, 3 or super mario world, etc.
