First off, yes i'm back.
Second, I'd like to start a seasonal art competition open to all residents of dRO.
A topic/theme will be chosen in which the competitors will have to draw about. Drawings will be RO related as well. I understand not everyone is as talented at drawing as others. That's why there shall be two categories - Talent and Humor. If youre not such a good drawer, you can join the Humor portion. The drawing will still have to fit the topic and be funny/humorous as well. Be warned tho, BOTH categories will be judged by 'Effort', which means no 3-minute stick figure drawings will be accepted. If you wish to join, you have to be willing go all out with it.
Main reason I'm doing this is for personal inspiration and motivation. I love art, and looking at other's hardwork helps me challenge myself. And also to hopefully (re)inspire others to unleash their artistic side by setting a goal to strife for.
Now, a competitor is free to join both competitions, but will only be allowed to win one. There will be 2 first prize winners (one per category) and 2 second prize. As for prizes, I'll see what I can scrounge up. If a GM or a wealthy player would like to contribute, that be great.
Alright, so I need feedback first from all of you on this idea, as well as nominees for Judges. I need 4 judges for a total of 5(including myself), as well as a backup Judge, incase one of the original 5 goes missing. Judges need an open mind and able to look at an object thru different perspectives. And no Kanoga-type "you fail internet and drawing lol" judging. I myself would like to nominate SAGA, as I'm sure he has a love for the arts and it'll hopefully be a break for him from the usual hardwork he's been running.
For runtime, I'm thinking 2 weeks. Since most of the players will soon be starting school, if they havent so already, a 2 week drawing period may be enough to come up with a drawing (with color). Thereafter, there will be a 1-3 day judgement period when winners will be announced. If 2 weeks is too little a time, I'm open to suggestions.
And that's pretty much it. Now for feedback. If comments could be organized in this manner, it would be appreciated.
1. Any thoughts on the matter 2. Nominees for Judges (I need 4 judges and a backup judge) 3. Drawing submittion period/time (2 weeks currently) 4. Suggestions for Prizes (I cant promise any of these until a GM volunteers to supply prizes)

i want an entry but then if i do everyone would not like to enter because.. well...................................
so i want to be a judge
How bout this Saga: If you wanna make an entry, we'll have the backup judge take ur place for that competition. And any other competition u dont join, you'll be judge.
I still need suggestions for Prizes, any comments on the running time (is 2 weeks enough or not? ), and some more nominees for judges.
Edit: also, dont start drawing already. atleast not until a theme is given out. if youre confused as to what that means:
Say for example its winter holiday time, I'd ask for drawings dealing with Xmas and that kinda stuff. Or if its end of october, the theme would of course be halloween. Hope that clarifies things.

;; Well, yeah.. of course it'll be in-game items. I dont really have the money to throw out real life prizes. But I need something a little more specific. Ocas, maybe? OPBs, Headgears, special items n such? Something worth making people draw.
Then again, these kinds of prizes can only be given out by a GM, which non have volunteered as of yet to provide.

You didn't have to use me as an example though. ...............
